Kurt Vile philadelphias been good to me

Shimmery guitar tones & hometown pride - Kurt Vile's "philadelphia's been good to me" - our 88-5 ALBUM DIVE!

KURT VILE PHILI BANNER 600X339

Hey! Guess who's back from vaca! A week off was soooo good for my soul. And perfect timing to dive into the latest record from Kurt Vile - the king of super chill vibes.

This is Kurt's 10th studio album and it's largely self-produced (along with some help from his Violators friends). Kurt says it's "never overly polished, but it’s still pretty damn shimmery." (I love shiny things, btw.) He’s especially proud of the sparkly lead guitar melodies he pulls from an old, hollow-body Gretsch Tennessean once owned by longtime friend and one of his true heroes - Travis Good of the Sadies.

Join me all week as we dive into "Philadelphia's Been Good To Me" each weekday just after 12-Noon as part of our 88-5 ALBUM DIVE on the SoCal Sound and the free SoCal Sound APP!

Until then, my pretties...
