Allison Ponthier with Andy Chanley || The SoCal Sound Sessions

The SoCal Sound In-Studio Session with Allison Ponthier is brought to you by The SoCal Sound, CSUN & Saddleback College.

Join The SoCal Sound's Afternoon host & Music Director Andy Chanley in conversation with indie folk singer-songwriter Allison Ponthier!

In this interview, Allison Ponthier reflects on her past shows, including headlining at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, how writing music has served as a therapeutic outlet that has allowed her to overcome obstacles, and what films influence her unique production style in her music videos. Ponthier also looks back on her various jobs when first moving to New York, such as a pet portrait artist.

Allison said when it comes to meeting her fans, "I never really had shows where I got to talk to and meet people because of COVID. And after my headline shows, I met people that actually really cared about what I was doing. Now I am addicted to it. I can't stop meeting people that know my songs. It's the only reason why I am so happy to keep doing it."

This SoCal Sound In-Studio Session with Allison Ponthier includes live performances of "Autopilot," "Harshest Critic In The Room," and "Hollywood Forever Cemetery."

The SoCal Sound Sessions are recorded live on location & in studio.
