If you’re like us, you’re missing live music. Thankfully, artists are still performing shows from their homes to help entertain us and make us all feel connected.
One of these great shows has been a weekly “residency” by LA’s own Taylor Goldsmith (of Dawes) and Mandy Moore. They alternate performing songs from each of their catalogs. Taylor plays guitar as Mandy sings her songs, and Mandy gets a front row seat when Taylor busts out some Dawes tracks. They also provide harmonies for each other.
There has been plenty of nostalgia taking place over the weeks, as well. Mandy has performed acoustic versions of her classic songs such as “Only Hope”
And “Candy”
She also has performed songs off her new record, ‘Silver Landings’, including the song “Trying My Best, Los Angeles”
Taylor has performed Dawes classics like “A Little Bit of Everything”
“Something In Common”
And “Never Gonna Say Goodbye”, a song he wrote for Mandy.
They also have been performing covers together including this classic by John Prine, an artist both Mandy and Taylor love and wanted to pay tribute to when they heard he wasn't doing well.
Thank you Taylor and Mandy for keeping the music alive and well during this strange time.
