One of the busiest musicians around, Gary Clark Jr. always seems to be on the road. Over the past couple of years he has found time to hit the studio and is ready to release his next album This Land on March 1st.
Clark released the first single today and it reflects a lot of the anger he feels about racism he has experienced in his life. Musically it also reflects a shift in his production. He's never been afraid to hop genres, but this song adds on more new sounds to his trademark guitar shredding skills.
The music video was directed by award winning British filmmaker Savanah Leaf and was recorded entirely in Clark's hometown of Austin, TX. Check out the video below (please note that the song includes explicit lyrics).
