In this Hear At Home episode, join afternoon host Andy Chanley in conversation with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, film/TV/video game composer, and former drummer and founding member of The Police, Stewart Copeland!
Copeland discusses his upcoming event at the Soraya on November 4th, where the Re-Collective Orchestra will accompany him. He explains the intricacies and sounds he will be achieving when he takes the stage for Stewart Copeland: Police Deranged for Orchestra. He also hints that fans who attend the show will receive a heavy dose of nostalgia. But with a twist, because he will be playing classic Police songs like “Roxanne,” “Don’t Stand So Close to Me,” and “Message in a Bottle,” but Copeland says, “One difference though because I am a member of the Police. I have been able to take liberties with the Police material that no hired arranger would dare do...These are Police songs like you’ve never heard.”
