Charlotte, North Carolina-based, Jamaican born, Sanya N'Kanta releases his video for "Silence Is Violence." This song is off his recently released debut album, The Counterfeit Revival. The message of the song echoes the activism present in many of the album's songs. With song titles such as: "I.C.E. at the Door," "Civil War," or "Silence Is Violence," N'Kanta uses his platform to speak out on dire issues and causes.
N'Kanta was inspired to write the song in the wake of the police shooting of Tamir Rice. And now, during all the other reported cases of police violence, BLM protests, and injustice, N'Kanta chose to release the video in solidarity, support and to raise awareness of the black experience in our world.
