Diane has written songs for over 250 HUGE artists. She is nominated for the 16TH TIME!! but has yet to win an Academy Award. Diane did receive an Honorary Oscar in 2022. Check it out here.
This year, she's nominated for her song "The Journey" performed by H.E.R. from the movie "The Six Triple Eight."
Diane has a new documentary out about her life and songwriting called "Diane Warren: Relentless." It's amazing and really shows a vulnerable side to her.

And we'll be chatting with Abraham Alexander and Adrian Quesada (from Black Pumas)...
Their song "Like A Bird" from the film SING SING gives these two their first Oscar nomination. The movie is brilliant and will 100 percent make you cry.
Abraham and Adrian performed the song on Jimmy Kimmel recently here.
Lead actor Colman Domingo from the film is up for BEST ACTOR. We'll find out from Abraham and Adrian how it feels to be nominated and how fun this past week has been for them. This week, "Like a Bird" just picked up the "Best Song Written and/or Recorded For a Film" award at the Guild of Music Supervisors awards.
The Academy Awards are this Sunday, 3/2 at 4pm. The 2025 Oscars telecast will air live on ABC and stream live on Hulu.
But first: Tune into FRIDAY ON A FRIDAY on the SoCal Sound this Friday (2.28) at 1p to hear more with me and Jason Friday. (*This Oscar special will also replay Saturday 6-7p)
