In celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Decemberists have announced 3 livestream concerts! The shows, 'TWENTY (OR TWENTY ONE) YEARS BEFORE THE MAST: THE INTERNET CONCERTS!' will be live from Portland, Oregon. They are scheduled for April 11, 18 and 25 at 5PM Pacific Time. They will available for on-demand streaming for two weeks following the broadcast. Each show will have a different setlist covering the band's 20 years of music together.
The livestreams replace this year's cancelled Summer Tour.
"BUT HAVE NO FEAR: In its place, we have decided to host a special celebration of our twenty or twenty one orbits ‘round the sun in a series of STREAMING CONCERTS!" wrote Colin Meloy on the Decemberists website.
The Decemberists' first EP ‘5 Songs’ was released in 2001. They have a total of eight albums, their most recent was ‘I’ll Be Your Girl’ (2018).
