Video Premiere: Ruby Friedman Orchestra - ‘Ain’t Got Your Money’

Portland-based, high-flying, rock and roll rabble-rouser, Ruby Friedman shares her new music video for her latest single, “Ain’t Got Your Money.”

The song’s central theme is about a problem many people in the US are currently facing, debt collectors, praying on people without the ability to settle said debt. The music video features Portland drag king/burlesque dancer Lily LeFeuve as Joe Exotic, just adding to the Tiger King craze, among other colorful characters she plays in the video.

"The song was created because of student loan debt bill collectors calling me all day every day from faraway called ID cities and states. I started writing down all of these thinking I would write a song about them all.  It struck me that those bill collectors got their money already from bank bailouts so why are they double-dipping.”

“Ain’t Got Your Money” has been featured by our very own on-air talents: Nic Harcourt for his “Fresh Squeezed Track of the Day,” on Gary Calamar’s “Open Road” and on Kevin Bronson’s “Buzzband LA” radio show.
